They ensure that deadlines and quality and quantity goals are met./ppPrimary Duties/Responsibilities:/pulliPerform difficult repairs, set-ups, and rebuilds on multiple pieces of machinery. Fabricates parts for repairs and upgrades./liliParticipate in ARC Flash Electrical Safety Program./liliFollow all safety related procedures, including Lock out/Tag out./liliAddress unsafe conditions as appropriate; act immediately to mitigate danger and escalate issues when necessary./liliComplete projects as assigned with minimal oversight./liliDisplay advanced expertise on at least 3 processes or moderate expertise on 4 or more processes./liliAssist with the installation of new equipment and the movement of existing equipment./liliSkilled in several groups of equipment in addition to maintaining equipment to run production, may also be assigned to work on special equipment./liliIdentify and effectively communicate issues; gather and analyze data skillfully; resolve complex issues independently./liliDevelop alternative solutions that address business needs; anticipate and proactively address needs and priorities related to work area./liliPerform equipment modifications to existing equipment; rebuild existing equipment when necessary./liliWork with outside vendors and/or other SME to resolve issues when defects are identified/liliServe as go-to resource for others outside of department./liliTrain, coach, and mentor other team members including Equipment Technician I and II, as well as Mechanics when requested or required./liliModel and encourage open communication within the team and across other departments./liliMaintain a clean and safe work area./liliPerform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned./li/ulpRequired Skills/Abilities/Competencies:/pulliAbility to read and write English; understand oral and written communications./liliAdvanced mechanical aptitude; ability to quickly learn machine operations./liliElectrical aptitude and advanced electrical troubleshooting./liliAdvanced knowledge of tools and techniques to repair equipment./liliWorks well in group problem solving situations./liliAbility to read schematics and wiring diagram./liliBasic math skills and ability to read measurements./liliComputer proficiency./liliStrong attention to detail./li/ulpEducation and Experience:/pulliHigh School Diploma/GED preferred, or commensurate experience relating to the job required; trade school is a plus 1-2 years./lili10+ years experience electronic and mechanical troubleshooting experience on automated manufacturing equipment./lili2-4 years of previous experience as an Equipment Technician./liliPrevious experience in print or direct mail equipment preferred./liliLean manufacturing and/or quality control training preferred./liliPrevious participation on a safety team and/or other safety training a plus./liliExperience with MSDs, Kearns, and BlueCrest Epic Inserters a plus./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliAbility to work consecutively 12-hour shifts, rotating 3 or 4 days per week including weekend rotations./liliAbility to work overtime when needed./liliStandard climate-controlled production environment; exposure to loud noise (PPE is provided)./liliAbility to lift, carry and push/pull up to 50 pounds./liliAbility to stand, walk, bend, twist, pivot, crouch, squat, kneel, and stoop for up to 12 hours./liliUpper extremity motion requirements: fine motor movements, pushing/pulling with arms, grasping and pinching./liliLower extremity motion requirements: reaching./liliPre-employment post-offer comprehensive assessment required./li/ulpSalary:/ppThe hourly rate range for this position is $24-37/hr./ppAt IWCO, base pay is determined by job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience, along with factors such as role scope and location.
