BAS / Controls Technician - Dallas, TX

Senior BAS Controls Technician / Senior BAS Technician / Senior BAS Engineer required to join the largest independent commercial HVAC/Controls/BAS manufacturers’ rep in North America. The successful Senior BAS Controls Technician / Senior BAS Technician / Senior BAS Engineer will work as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of DDC building automation systems. The ideal Senior BAS Controls Technician / Senior BAS Technician / Senior BAS Engineer will have the ability to communicate clearly with customers, mechanical contractors, subcontractors, and fellow employees. He or she will independently perform required duties located in an office environment or on a construction jobsite. Package & Location: $45 - $65 per hour Medical, Dental, Vision, L/S Term Disability, Life Insurance Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) program + 401(k) retirement plan Location: Dallas, TX Senior BAS Controls Technician / Senior BAS Technician / Senior BAS Engineer Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair complex direct digital control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and electronic theory as well as the ability to create and modify program algorithms for multiple systems. Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements. Communicate with all levels of contracting chain to declare installation schedule, milestone updates, job progress, commissioning, and closeout/acceptance plan. Manage various suppliers and subcontractors during the construction phase of the project to ensure their adherence to the job schedule. Senior BAS Controls Technician / Senior BAS Technician / Senior BAS Engineer Requirements: Vocational School four- year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field or equivalent military occupational specialty plus two years of industry experience or five years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry. Must have experience in a service vehicle, doing service work for an HVAC contractor and the ability to work with a team. Minimum 2 year of experience with Lonworks and/or BACnet Control Systems, TRIDIUM and NIAGARA 4 experience preferred. General understanding of IP networks and proficient in reading wiring diagrams.
