If you have a knack for problem-solving and an eye for detail, we want to hear from you!Pay: Competitive, experience-based wageSchedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pmBenefits:Medical insuranceDentalVision401(k) with employer matchPTOHoliday payAnd more!QUALITY TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:Walking through manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and quality expectationsPerforming dimensional inspections at various stages of the production process using measurement instruments (calipers, gauges, and a coordinate-measuring machine (CMM))Verifying the conformance of incoming materials and maintaining traceability documentation across production stagesDocumenting noncomformities, corrective actions, follow-ups, investigations, and resolutionsDrafting instructions and quality-related formsCompiling data reports and tracking performance metrics (PPM, OTD, COQ, etc.)Completing all levels of PPAP documentation as neededInterpreting customer drawings and specificationsParticipating in training sessions and leading by exampleConducting internal ISO 9001 audits and ensuring adherence to quality management system requirementsOverseeing metrology devices, coordinating calibrations, and maintaining calibration recordsUsing laser particle analysis and microscopic inspection systems to conduct routine laboratory fluid-cleanliness testingOverseeing quality functions for the Transmotion division and collaborating with cross-site teams to ensure consistent, company-wide coverageOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Associate degree or 2+ years of relevant experience in a field like quality or manufacturingAbility to travel 25–50%, including drives up to 5 hours and occasional long-distance tripsHigh technology proficiency, ability to type 35+ wpm, and the ability to learn new applications and approachesAbility to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and promptly address concernsAbility to analyze data and trends to solve problems, make decisions, and implement effective solutionsAbility to work independently, set your own goals, and manage your time efficientlyAbility to read tape measures and digital calipersClear and professional verbal/written communication skillsIntermediate Microsoft skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)Knowledge of RCA techniquesValid driver's license and a clean driving recordOur Ideal Quality TechnicianExperience with internal auditing for ISO-9001 or comparable QMS systemsQuality control certificationsLean or Six Sigma certificationUnderstanding of ISO 9001:2015Knowledge of PPAP, SPC, flow charts, control plans, and FMEA creation and revisionJOIN US AS A QUALITY TECHNICIAN!At Transmotion, we're proud to be part of the Value Added Companies (VAC) family, alongside Value Added Distributors, Bent Tubes, and LTL Supply, whose history dates back to 1995.
