A-Level / Master Automotive Technician

Paragon Automotive is hiring an experienced A-Level / Master Automotive Technician for our sister service locations on Indian River Road and S. Lynnhaven in Virginia Beach.

We are looking for a true diagnostic technician — someone who is strong with advanced drivability, electrical troubleshooting, wiring diagrams, modules, network communication, and complex repair work.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who wants to work in a professional, well-equipped shop where their experience is respected.

This is not a quick-lube or basic maintenance-only position. We handle a wide range of diagnostic and repair work for retail customers, dealerships, fleets, and local businesses.

Pay

$30.00 – $45.00 per hour , based on experience and diagnostic ability.

This is a regular hourly position, not flat rate . Overtime is available.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and repair advanced mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
• Troubleshoot no-starts, intermittent issues, CAN-bus faults, module communication issues, and warning light concerns
• Read and interpret OEM wiring diagrams, schematics, service information, and repair procedures
• Use Snap-on and professional diagnostic platforms to perform accurate testing
• Perform complex repairs across a wide range of makes and models
• Help guide other technicians when needed
• Document findings clearly and professionally
• Maintain high standards for repair quality, safety, and shop cleanliness
• Assist with repair prioritization and workflow when appropriate

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as an A-Level, Master, or Senior Automotive Technician
• Strong diagnostic background, especially with electrical and modern vehicle systems
• Ability to confidently read and troubleshoot wiring diagrams
• Experience with Snap-on diagnostic equipment
• OEM scan tool experience is a plus
• ASE certifications are a plus
• Virginia State Inspector license is a plus
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
