Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must possess an active nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 2 years of MS-Tele experience in the last 3 years - Prefer prior neuro experience - Prefer Alaris and EPIC experience Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in telemetry. The nurse will float throughout the assigned zone to various facilities. Floating to different units may include general medicine, neuro, oncology, renal, and other specialties. Patient ratios will typically be 1:5-6 based on acuity. The nurse will be expected to titrate drips, including heparin, and manage other titratable and set rate drips. Charge nurses are designated on each unit but typically do not take patient assignments unless necessary. All staff members are expected to remain flexible and assist with scheduling needs. Weekend shifts of 6-9 every 6 weeks are required. May be asked to participate in holiday rotations and float to ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and other higher acuity units. The scheduling process is managed by leadership and is released 4-6 weeks in advance. Requests for time off must be submitted prior to starting the assignment. RNs reading strip monitoring is a standard practice on these units. The workforce will be expected to adapt to changes in unit assignments as necessary. This role supports diverse patient populations, primarily adults and geriatrics. Experience with advanced respiratory equipment is needed. The role involves working in an acute care setting with various medical needs.
