Job Description We are seeking a Traffic Control Manager to lead traffic control operations for a growing organization serving projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, managing crews, coordinating project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining strong communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
Traffic control experience is a plus, but it is not required. We are open to candidates with strong leadership, operational, logistics, construction, or field management experience who are eager to learn traffic control standards and regulations.
This is a highly visible role that requires frequent travel throughout Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.
Manage daily traffic control operations across multiple project sites Lead, train, and support traffic control personnel and field crews Coordinate project schedules, staffing, equipment, and resources to meet customer needs Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and applicable traffic control regulations Learn and apply MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) standards Conduct site visits to assess traffic control requirements and ensure quality execution Communicate with clients, project managers, and field personnel regarding project status and changes Monitor labor, equipment, and material utilization to support operational efficiency Resolve field issues and provide real-time support to crews throughout the territory Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and project records
