These increasingly challenging assignments will provide foremost an effective learning assignment and then a sound intellectual and/or financial return for the PCC organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- The student will apply principles that he or she has learned in school to aid PCC in analysis, product improvement, and use project management techniques to plan and control projects.- The student will be responsible for accomplishing performance goals and will receive progressive responsibility throughout his/her co-op experience.- Student will attend weekly departmental meeting.- Will take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.- Participate on project teams for assigned projects; analyze improvements and new product or applications and develop requirements and specifications with team. - Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.- Participate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.- The student will learn metallurgical analysis techniques and use them to solve process problems.- The student will also learn super-alloy chemistry and conduct analysis to understand relationships between the chemistry and casting quality.- Other duties as needed.QUALIFICATIONS • Proficient with Microsoft Office• Good writing skills and interpersonal skillsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSFull-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in the following engineering fields of study; aerospace, metallurgical, material science, manufacturing and mechanical.Must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 or higher.ADDITIONAL SKILLS• Strong analytical skills; possess the ability to work through technical issues.• Action Orientation• Functional and Technical Skills• Drive for Results• Customer Focus• Learning Agility• Integrity and Trust • Peer RelationshipsOTHER BENEFITSCo-ops will be paid $24 hour for first rotation. Progressive compensation is available for future co-op rotations. The work schedule will be based upon a 40 hour per week work schedule and overtime is available if necessary.
