Contract | 13 Weeks | Rotating 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Holiday | On-Call Requirements Apply

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across all patient care areas of the hospital, including the emergency department and general care units, supporting all age groups
• Deliver critical care and ventilator management, including operation of Bipap V60, Puritan Bennett 980, LTV1200 transport ventilators, Airvo2 heated high-flow, Optiflow, and ResMed S10 auto-CPAPs
• Perform patient assessments using Assess and Treat Protocols and maintain strong documentation skills within the EPIC charting system
• Respond to emergency situations including Rapid Response and Code Blue events
• Float to additional care locations as prescheduled when needed
• Comply with all facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined — compliance is mandatory with no exceptions

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist License required
• NBRC CRT or RRT credential required
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
• Experience with critical care ventilator management and high-flow oxygen therapy equipment
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, manage variable census conditions, and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
