Shift: 09:30 AM - 06:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Call Requirements: 2-3 shifts per 4-week schedule; weekends on call only
Unit Profile
The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) is designed to provide exceptional recovery care for patients post-anesthesia.
Location: Austin, TX
Number of Beds: 16
Staff: 12 members (11 day nurses, 1 night nurse)
Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 2:1
Type of Equipment: IV pumps, Arterial lines, Bipaps, Chest tubes, Bladder scan, Doppler for pulse checks
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Permanent Positions Available: Yes
Qualifications
Must Have: Current PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications. Phase 1 experience is required.
Preferred Skills: Meditech experience and critical care experience.

- Nerve blocks
- Lumbar punctures
- Chest tube placement

- Scrub Color: Navy blue
- Acceptable Attire: Professional scrubs
