Details for Short-Term Assembly Operator position:

• $17/ Hour + $1 Increase after 30 Days
• Full-Time | Short-Term Temporary (8 Week Assignment)

Job Duties for Short-Term Assembly Operator position:

• Operate and monitor all press equipment to ensure continuous production
• Assemble, package, and handle life jackets and protective products
• Fabricate components by cutting, forming, and shaping zinc materials using powered shear and press brake
• Perform soldering and TIG welding per shop drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specification sheets to build products to required standards
• Inspect materials and finished products using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality
• Operate lift trucks to move materials and completed assemblies
• Complete production reports, forms, and control charts accurately
• Maintain safe housekeeping practices and follow all safety procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team efforts
• Regularly attend work and complete assigned tasks as directed by management

Job Requirements for Short-Term Assembly Operator position:

• High School Diploma or GED
• High school diploma or GED, or related work experience
• Able to read instructions, interpret basic drawings, and communicate clearly with team members
• Strong basic math and problem-solving skills for measuring, calculating, and troubleshooting
• Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 100 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks safely
• Good vision, coordination, and comfort using protective gear such as respirators
• Works safely around machinery, electrical equipment, and moderate noise
• Dependable, cooperative, and effective working independently or as part of a team
