Banquet ServerA Banquet Server is responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner in the Golden Nugget's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.Responsibilities:Assist and prepare in set up of the banquet area prior to guest arrival to ensure room design is executed correctlyMaintain timeline of events to ensure seamless serviceAnticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageFollow all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsiblyMaintain cleanliness and condition of stations, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelinesMaintain complete knowledge of the daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, amount of people; location of all Golden Nugget function space and names of rooms; all styles of meeting and banquet room settingsQualifications:Strong communication skillsAppropriate professional appearance and demeanorMust be available for various shifts including early morning, late nights, double shifts, occasional triple shifts, occasional split shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hoursUnderstanding of basic room diagrams for station setups and seating charts for guestsAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memosAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group environments to customers, clients, and or employees of organizations that we serve1 year prior food service experience required, preferably in BanquetsWhat We Offer You:Multiple benefit plans to suit your needsPaid Time Off401KOpportunities for advancementPositive and respectful work environment where diversity is valuedGenerous employee discounts on dining, retail, amusements and hotelsCommunity volunteer opportunitiesDisclaimer: The above information is intended as a high-level overview of the responsibilities and qualifications for the position and does not represent the full job description which will include all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, and working conditions associated with the job.
