We are constantly in pursuit of better patient care and understand that speed is critical because life cannot wait.Position Summary:The Associate Manufacturing Engineer supports manufacturing operations by assisting engineers with process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, documentation, and production support activities. This is an entry-level position focused on learning manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality requirements while contributing to safe, efficient, and repeatable production.Essential Functions:Follow the Company's policies and proceduresAssist Manufacturing Engineers with day to day production support. Help create, update, and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process documentation, I.E. Bill of materials (BOM), Route, Set-Up sheets. Collect and analyze basic production and quality data (scrap, cycle time, uptime, etc.)Support setup, troubleshooting, and minor adjustments of manufacturing equipmentAssist with tooling, fixtures, and gage implementation and maintenanceSupport continuous improvement activities (5S, lean events, root cause analysis)Assist with validation of new or revised manufacturing processesParticipate in problem solving activities related to quality, safety, and productivityCommunicate effectively with operators, engineers, quality, and maintenance teamsSupport training of operators on new or updated processesAssist Quality engineers in writing IQ, OQ & PQ protocols compliant with existing SOP's with assistance from more senior personnelFollow all safety, quality, and environmental requirementsPerforming all work in accordance with oral instructions in conformance with company standards including, safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practicesAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your roleRepresents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredOne of the following required: machining technology degree, mechanical engineering degree or a minimum of three years of hands-on experience as a department lead or set up role within the discipline of the hiring department.Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes requiredAbility to read and interpret basic technical drawings and specifications requiredUnderstanding of the operations within the discipline of the hiring department requiredCapability of utilizing inspection equipment to verify products produced within the discipline of the hiring department required Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, basic data entry) requiredWillingness to learn manufacturing systems, equipment, and quality standards requiredPossession of the ability to work under the guidance of any superior titles in the engineering organizational chart requiredBeing well organized and possesses the ability to multi-task requiredTeam player, open to new ideas and teamwork, self-motivated individual, willingness to increase personal knowledge and value requiredExcellent communication skills requiredExposure to CNC machining, assembly, or automated manufacturing equipment requiredFamiliarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, basic gages) requiredBasic understanding of lean manufacturing concepts preferredKnowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment preferredStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills preferredPhysical Demands:Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsRequired to possess specific vision abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focusOur Values :Our Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.Passionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
