Pediatric Oncologist - Solid Tumor Focus

Rady Children's Health - Orange County is seeking a full-time Pediatric Oncologist with a solid tumor focus to join its well-established Oncology Division. The physician will care for children from infancy through young adulthood in a collaborative pediatric environment.

The center is recognized for clinical excellence and provides state-of-the-art diagnostic services and a full spectrum of treatment modalities for pediatric malignancies, including surgical oncology, radiotherapy, and bone marrow transplant/cellular therapy. The role offers access to integrated tumor boards, multidisciplinary support, and the professional and lifestyle benefits of Orange County's beaches, mountains, dining, entertainment, and family-friendly communities.

Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive oncology care to children from infancy through young adulthood, practicing primarily in the outpatient setting, participating in integrated tumor boards, coordinating care with case coordinators, infusion services, social work, and ancillary services, contributing to quality improvement, clinical program development, and administrative initiatives within the Oncology Division, supporting community outreach and other activities that advance pediatric oncology care and education, and partnering with strong administrative and operational teams to further the division's clinical, educational, and research goals.

Academic and research opportunities include participating in clinical research and trial programs, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to resident and fellow education, quality improvement, community outreach, and administrative initiatives, and helping shape exceptional oncology care, education, research, and outreach within a well-established pediatric subspecialty practice.

Candidate qualifications include fellowship training in Pediatric Oncology, board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Oncology, eligibility for a California medical license, clinical expertise in pediatric solid tumors, a commitment to high-quality, compassionate, family-centered care, strong collaboration and communication skills within a multidisciplinary pediatric oncology environment.
