Assistant Store Manager - Jiffy Mart

Job Summary The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) assists the general manager in daily operations, ensuring compliance with Global Partners policies and procedures. Responsibilities Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline. Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt employees, holding them accountable for operational standards. Monitor shift cash handling and inventory. Assist in investigating shortages/overages of $100/month or less and inventory variations of .5% sales or less. Mention maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets, and records prescribed by the General Manager or Territory Manager. Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested, following cash‑control policies. Manage cash handling procedures, including bank deposits and change orders. Maintain Grand Opening Ready standards per Global Partner’s store image standards. Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation. Ensure store security and safety; comply with all safety and environmental guidelines. Report issues to proper authority and management. Ensure gasoline levels are adequate and coordinate deliveries. Engage in company promotional initiatives. Promote a high level of guest service. Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures (including the Company Handbook) and any other duties assigned by the General Manager or Territory Manager. Qualifications Minimum 1‑2 years of supervisory experience. Ability to work unsupervised. Excellent communication, counting, reading, and writing accuracy. Basic computer skills. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Comfortable working in intermittent temperatures (outside, cooler, etc.). Physical ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and lift up to 25lbs during a shift. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Pay Range $19.42 – $22.63 per hour. Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and location; the company reserves the right to adjust salary as needed.
