Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of recent stand-up forklift experience
• Distribution warehouse experience preferred
• Previous sorting or mail processing experience is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Job Duties

• Complete and document daily forklift inspections before each shift
• Report maintenance issues and submit work orders as needed
• Operate stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently
• Inspect, count, and reconcile incoming and outgoing product
• Stage, palletize, and put away inventory throughout the warehouse
• Assemble shipping containers and package products for shipment
• Verify outgoing shipments meet company specifications
• Perform general warehouse labor when not operating equipment
• Support shipping and receiving operations as needed
• Assist with mail processing and sorting activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Forklift Operator.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.

What You Will Do


As a Forklift Operator you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, stack, and organize materials throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will inspect equipment before use, replenish inventory locations, support shipping and receiving activities, verify product movement, maintain inventory accuracy, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling throughout the facility.

A Forklift Operator helps maintain efficient warehouse operations by safely moving products between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas. This role requires equipment operation skills, organizational ability, and safe work habits.


The Forklift Operator combines forklift operation with inventory awareness and warehouse procedures to help ensure products are moved accurately and efficiently throughout daily operations.
