DoubleTree by Hilton is looking for Banquet Servers for on and off-site events. Enjoy travel perks while working with a great team.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold impeccable standards of food, beverage, and guest service excellence.
- Extend a warm welcome and ensure prompt seating for guests.
- Offer informed recommendations on menu items and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of buffet and break tables during events.
- Efficiently transmit orders to the kitchen team.
- Skillfully transport food trays from the kitchen and manage the return of used chinaware, silverware, and glassware.
- Anticipate and fulfill guest requests, demonstrating attentiveness to their dining progress.
- Maintain table settings and swiftly reset tables for subsequent guests.
- Keep work and storage areas meticulously clean and organized.
- Collaborate in the setup, cleaning, and revitalization of function rooms.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, fostering positive relationships within a diverse team environment.
Requirements:
- Education or Experience - No high school diploma required; one-month related hospitality experience and/or training.
- Language Skills- Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: read and comprehend instructions, safety rules, and memos. Speak clearly, distinctly and with confidence using appropriate pauses, emphasis and punctuation.
- Mathematical Skills - Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure (money, weight, volume, etc.).
- Reasoning Ability - Must have developed reasoning skills to be able to: apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to professionally deal with problems in standardized situations.
- Valid Driver's License Must be able to travel to and from function sites. Must have a valid NH driver's license and a favorable driving record to operate company vehicle.
