Job Summary

Harmony Care at Brookshire is seeking a compassionate and energetic Recreation Assistant to join our team! As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in the lives of our residents by planning, organizing, and coordinating engaging activities and programs in our assisted living facility. With a focus on individualized attention and holistic care, we strive to create a warm and inviting environment where our residents can thrive.

Responsibilities:

• As a Certified Activity Assistant, you will plan and coordinate a variety of activities and programs tailored to the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents

• Develop and implement engaging activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents

• Create a monthly activity calendar and ensure activities are scheduled and executed effectively

• Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and outside vendors to facilitate activities and events

• Provide individualized attention to residents, taking into consideration their preferences and abilities

• Conduct assessments to determine the interests and needs of residents and tailor activities accordingly

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to resident care

• Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities

Requirements:

• Certified Activity Assistant certification required

• High School diploma or equivalent required

• 0 years of experience preferred
