Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate opening for a Distribution Center Load Planner. This role will be supporting the load planning functions for both Perris, CA and Moreno Valley locations.ResponsibilitiesAs a Load Planner, you will:* Plan and coordinate daily truckload shipments into Ferguson distribution centers in an efficient and cost-effective manner.* Identify and recommend opportunities to improve transportation processes, service levels, and overall costs.* Utilize transportation and logistics systems to tender freight to Ferguson’s carrier partners in compliance with routing guides.* Communicate transportation delays and service disruptions resulting from system issues, weather events, or other operational challenges that impact distribution centers and customers* Review, evaluate, and help improve transportation procedures and operational processes in partnership with management.* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient execution of transportation plans.Qualifications* Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent transportation, logistics, route planning, or related industry experience will also be considered.* Previous route planning, transportation coordination, or delivery driver experience required.* Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with customers.* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.* Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret and apply processes, procedures, and operational guidelines.* Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of Word and Access preferred.* Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.* Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to navigate changing priorities and business needs.At Ferguson, we care for each other.
