The Opportunity We’re partnering with a highly respected, specialized commercial insurer seeking a Chief Actuary to shape strategy, drive profitable growth, and elevate analytics across the enterprise. This is a true C-suite role reporting directly to the President, with broad influence across underwriting, claims, finance, and executive leadership. The Company Our client is a financially strong, customer-focused regional commercial insurer known for disciplined underwriting, strong leadership, and a collaborative culture. This is a nimble organization where decisions move quickly and leadership has real visibility and impact. Location This role is in the Western United States and does require relocation. Full relocation assistance provided. What You’ll Do Lead actuarial strategy across pricing, reserving, and analytics Partner with executive leadership to shape company direction and growth strategy Deliver insights on market, economic, and business performance trends Advance analytics capabilities and modernize actuarial methodologies Identify growth opportunities and address underperforming segments Collaborate closely with underwriting, claims, and finance leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing actuarial team Drive innovation through advanced analytics, modeling, and emerging technologies What You’ll Bring ACAS minimum required Commercial P&C actuarial leadership experience Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically Strong business acumen and executive presence Experience leading teams and driving organizational impact Expertise in pricing, reserving, and analytics Why This Role True executive leadership opportunity High-visibility role with enterprise-wide impact Financially strong, well-respected organization Collaborative and nimble culture Strong benefits and competitive executive compensation Compensation >$400K including salary, bonus, and stock.
