As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Manteno, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. In this role, you will support badge and entry activity while delivering strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.16 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge checks, and other security-related policies.
• Monitor and document the entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and/or delivery traffic at gates, docks, lobbies, and other access points within the location.
• Verify identification, credentials, manifests, and/or visitor information before granting access, while reporting discrepancies according to post orders and client guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarm conditions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, and shipping or receiving zones to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
