Project Manager – Retail Interiors & Renovations Location: Chicago Suburbs, IL (On-Site) Our client is a well-established general contractor specializing in high-end retail tenant improvements and renovation projects for nationally recognized brands. Due to continued growth and a strong backlog of work, they are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their team. Responsibilities Manage multiple retail tenant improvement and renovation projects from preconstruction through closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall project execution plans. Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery. Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Negotiate and award subcontracts while managing procurement activities. Monitor project costs, forecast budgets, and ensure financial performance. Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to clients and internal leadership. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Foster strong client relationships that lead to repeat business. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor. Experience managing retail tenant improvement, renovation, and interior fit-out projects . Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods. Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
