Location LLWC - Greenville, SC Position Summary This position reports to the Care Coordinator Supervisor (CCS) and/or the designated supervisor in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements. The role is synonymous with Companion, Housekeeper, Homemaker, and Chore Worker. Job Details Live Long Well Care of Greenville, SC is accepting applications for Full Time and Part Time evening and weekend CNA/Caregiver/Home Health Aides/Companions to provide personal care and companionship for seniors. Day & Night positions are available as well as weekends. CNA certification is not required but can be a plus and is paid a premium! Must be able to work some weekends. Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record. Services will be provided to various addresses/clients within a 30‑mile radius of the branch address. Must have an up‑to‑date smartphone for electronic viewing and capture of Time and Attendance, Care Tasks, and Communication. Transferring & positioning. Meal preparation & cooking. Light housekeeping & laundry (washing dishes, cleaning kitchen after meals, laundering clothes, bed linens, and performing other housekeeping activities normally done daily or weekly). Grocery shopping / errands / transportation, working with dementia/Alzheimer’s clients. Provide companionship for the patient/client while engaging in daily activities. Pet services (grooming, feeding, walking, bathing, etc.). Represent the company positively and create an environment that fosters respect and courtesy for clients and other employees. Work within company programs to promote safety and the well‑being of all clients and employees. Provide general assistance and care to patients/clients to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Accurately and thoroughly document services provided in accordance with agency policy. Immediately report any changes in patient/client needs, conditions, or incidents to the supervisor. Listen and respond to patient/client needs in a timely and sensitive manner. Professional Conduct & Development Attend, participate in internal staff development programs, and obtain continuing education as required by company policy and regulation. Maintain and enhance clinical practice skills. Perform other duties as assigned in response to patient/client, office and/or facility needs. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Other Duties and Responsibilities Report for work on time prepared to assume duties. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Offer assistance as needed or direct individual to appropriate resources with proper follow-through. Comply timely with all requirements related to risk management, safety, infection control, TB screening, security, and fire. Provide a safe environment for clients, employees, and others. Assume responsibility for all mandatory in‑services, certification, and/or licensure, competencies, etc. Prerequisites High school graduation or GED required. Successfully completed a training program if required by state regulation or contract. Two years’ experience in a similar position desired but not required. Two years’ experience working with the elderly desired but not required. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. Ability to work with minimal or close supervision. Conduct all business in a professional manner with a high level of confidentiality. Pass competency testing on hire and ongoing for basics such as meal preparation, housekeeping, infection control, safety in the home, handling emergencies, transportation, pet walking, and care. Must have updated Android or iPhone smartphone device. Current listing with no substantial finding on state aide registry, as applicable. Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance. Work indoors for most of the day (fluorescent lights, HVAC, carpets/Vinyl, normal housing noise). Provide reliable transportation as required. Possess physical ability to perform job‑related duties (lifting, standing, bending, transferring, stooping, stretching, walking, pushing, pulling). Work in time‑sensitive or stressful situations. Sit in a chair/stand for extended periods. Commuting ability to various client locations throughout the workday/week. 50-90% of work performed in client’s home; exposure to malodorous, infectious, body fluids and mild exposure to noxious smells. Eligibility to drive on company business and a satisfactory driving record; drivers aged 21-70 or, if over 70, signed physician statement. Valid license (no expired or suspended license); no revocation in last 3 years; no two or more suspensions or at‑fault accidents in last 3 years; no more than three moving violations in last 5 years; no serious violations (DUI, speed excess, etc.).
