Job Summary

Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Georgia. This travel assignment offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and intermediate care.

The Progressive Care Unit focuses on patients transitioning from critical care or those with complex medical conditions requiring advanced cardiac monitoring, medication management, and comprehensive nursing interventions. You will play a vital role in patient assessment, intervention, and education, ensuring optimal outcomes.

This role involves working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit setting.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, including titratable drips, and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medications, and discharge planning.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
• Respond to emergent situations and initiate appropriate interventions.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or similar intermediate care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Ability to travel and reside outside a 50-mile radius of Cumming, Georgia for the duration of the assignment.
