Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse for a night-shift travel contract in Tyler, Texas. This role involves caring for pediatric patients requiring cardiac observation and post-surgical monitoring in a 14-bed unit. Ideal candidates are confident, adaptable, and experienced in high-acuity pediatric care.

Unit & Patient Information

• Unit Size: 14 beds

• Common Diagnoses:

  • Cardiac observation

  • Post-surgical observation

Required Skills

• MS/Tele

• Remote patient monitoring

• Starting IVs

Preferred Skills

• Cardiac telemetry

• ER holding

• Dysrhythmia interpretation & management

• Phlebotomy

• Heparin protocols

• Nasal cannula & portable oxygen management

• Minimum Experience: 1.5 years Pediatric RN

• Previous travel nursing experience required

• Certifications:

  • PALS

  • BLS

  • NIHSS

• EMR: Epic experience required

• Patient Ratio: 1:5
