Senior Security Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cryptographic and secure transport software across Apple’s software stack.
• Contribute to kernel, library, framework, and application-level security technologies.
• Develop pragmatic security methods and technologies for mobile and distributed computing.
• Balance ease of use, performance, and security when solving complex engineering problems.
• Collaborate with security, software, hardware, cloud, marketing, and support teams.
• Influence technical decisions across multiple internal and external organizations.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in systems or operating system development.
• Strong understanding of transport security and standard protocols such as TLS.
• Strong understanding of C, Objective-C, or Swift.
• Industry knowledge of operating system security and applied cryptography.
• Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Preferred: experience with transparency technologies such as certificate transparency.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
