We improve and advance the lives of our employees and the patients who depend on our products.Responsibilities:The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the Supply Chain (materials management, sourcing, planning, purchasing, control and distribution of materials and products) at the Santa Clara facility. Additionally, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for evaluating, drafting, and executing supply agreements with preferred vendors and strategic customers to facilitate long term partnerships, improve costing, and mitigate stock outs. Finally, the Supply Chain Manager will effectively develop and coach their direct reports to support daily initiatives, align department objectives with the business strategy, engage the workforce with increased expectations and hold workforce accountable for results.Key Responsibilities Include:Partner with Corporate Supply Chain to facilitate long term supply agreements with preferred vendors and strategic customers to improve reliability of deliveries and increase Santa Clara's purchasing powerProvide strategic supervision to the purchasing/buying, customer service, warehouse, inventory control and planning functions.Develop commodity strategy to ensure highest quality and world class OTD from vendorsDevelop, implement, and maintain purchasing SOP to support both R&D and OperationsOversee the purchasing and/or contracting for materials, supplies, equipment and servicesImplement physical inventory program (cycle count) and ensure physical to electronic inventory match at best-in-class standardsResponsible for continuing programs of exploration for supplies, suppliers and processes to achieve the best possible quality, prices and deliveryCoordinate with the Quality department on nonconforming material investigations and corrective actions for purchased items including credits and return authorizationsSupport design (NPD) projects with supplier selection and evaluation activitiesProvide input on supplier reevaluationsInitiates LEAN Manufacturing practices by analyzing trend information and recommending areas of focusReview and monitor production variances (including material variances and time studies)Support the development and achievement of KPI's that deliver results for Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery. KPI's will encompass OTD, past dues, yield, cost of scrap, labor efficiency, safety, achieving 3rd Day sales target, etc.ERP (NetSuite) superuser and "go to" for resolving low level system issuesDevelop, establish, and provide for the maintenance of reporting systems that relate to the supply chain functionsRequirements:Bachelor's degree required; Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) preferred7+ years' Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment required5 years' experience with ERP systems required (NetSuite ERP preferred)5+ years' experience managing direct reportsSolid understanding of Planning and Purchasing methodologies (forecasts, safety stocks, replenishment strategies, inventory optimization, lead time reduction, Kanban, etc.)General understanding of Lean Management requiredProficiency with data analytics (databases, MS Excel, and presentations) and MS OfficeKnowledge and experience of working with an ISO13485 Quality Management System.Demonstrated success in managing workforce, conflict management and working in a team environment.Certified supply chain professional (CSCP) preferredQuality system auditing experience preferredBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Vacation Days, Paid Holidays, 401k, On-site Fitness Facility.Please, no recruitment agency calls or emails (we are not using recruitment services for this, or any other role posted).The salary estimates are estimates from this job board and not a guarantee from Biomerics' salary range.Biomerics does not accept non-solicited resumes or candidate submittals from search/recruiting agencies not already on Biomerics approved agency list.
