Exciting Opportunity for a Traveling Physical Therapist

In this role, you will provide home health care, assisting patients in their recovery from injuries and managing chronic conditions, all while exploring a new location.

You will work closely with a team that includes nurses, Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and home health aides to create and implement effective care plans. Participation in a mandatory weekly case conference is part of the role.

Minimum Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the APTA.
• Active Physical Therapy license in Maryland is essential to commence the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be necessary.
• Experience in home health is preferred; candidates with over one year of experience in hospital, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), or outpatient settings will also be considered.
• Willingness to travel within Washington County, MD for patient visits, with mileage reimbursement provided between the first and last patient appointments.
• Professional attire is required: navy blue scrubs or a button-down shirt with khakis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in home health physical therapy.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Work schedule: Monday through Friday.
• Weekly case conference: Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM.
• No on-call or weekend duties required.
• Service area includes Washington County, MD, with travel between patient homes.
