Full-Time Board-Certified Gastroenterologist Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time board-certified gastroenterologist to join a hospital-employed gastroenterology practice in McAllen, Texas. This role offers a competitive salary plus performance-based incentives, allowing you to focus on delivering comprehensive GI care in a busy, high-demand setting while sharing call responsibilities with employed and community gastroenterologists in a supportive multispecialty group.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hospital Employed

Schedule / Hours: Standard clinical hours with shared call coverage

Call: Shared call with employed and community gastroenterologists

Patient Volume: Busy gastroenterology practice

Location: McAllen/Edinburg, Texas (Rio Grande Valley)

Practice Setting: Multispecialty clinic within South Texas Health System (STHS)

Support / Care Team: Collaborative multidisciplinary team including GI specialists

EMR / Technology: Cerner

Responsibilities:

• Provide a full range of gastroenterology care and procedures
• Collaborate with employed physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff
• Manage day-to-day outpatient and procedural responsibilities
• Document care accurately using EMR systems

Qualifications:

• Board certified or board eligible in gastroenterology
• Active or eligible Texas medical license
• EUS/ERCP experience preferred
• Spanish language skills a plus but not required
