Position Summary:
Anistar is seeking experienced Fiber Technicians to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of Fiber optic cabling. MUST be comfortable working outside and inside as well as statewide travel.

Job Responsibilities :

• Outdoor and indoor work
• Splicing high count fiber
• Pulling and dressing of Fiber in racks and panels
• Installing Fiber components (LIU's coupler panels, splice cassettes)
• Familiar with outdoor splice cases (coyote or similar)
• Testing using OTDR and Fluke power meter
• Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT6 cable in a new construction and existing structure commercial environment
• Terminating data jacks
• Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
• Must be comfortable working from scissor/boom lifts if required
• Pulling, routing, installing and terminating structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following :

• 3-4+ years' experience installing voice and data/Fiber optic systems.
• Leadership capabilities
• Open to state wide travel
• Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc.
• Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
