Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• Valid Texas teaching certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsements
• Proven experience in special education, social work, counseling, or a closely related field
• School counseling, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), BCBA, psychology, or social work credentials highly desired

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to student needs
• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to guide targeted interventions and strategies
• Actively participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal), IEP (Individualized Education Program), RtI (Response to Intervention), and 504 meetings
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support classroom management and foster positive behaviors campus-wide
• Provide direct support during crisis intervention, serving as a resource for both students and teachers
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and student progress reports as required
