Medical Assistant – Contract

Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80918
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to support both front-office and back-office clinical operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with patient care, venipuncture, EMR documentation, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.

• Greet, check in, and room patients
• Obtain and document patient vital signs
• Provide clinical support to providers and center staff
• Perform blood draws and venipuncture
• Administer vaccines as permitted by scope of practice
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Schedule appointments and answer incoming calls
• Assist with front- and back-office operations
• Provide professional and compassionate patient care
• Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience ; externship experience does not count
• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
• Hands-on phlebotomy/venipuncture experience required
• EMR experience required
• Experience performing EKGs and POC testing
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good computer and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
