About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President/Chief Advancement Officer for the Northeast Florida Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and overseeing a comprehensive philanthropy program, including development, grateful patient fundraising, annual giving, stewardship, and capital projects. This role involves serving as the primary point of contact for academic and hospital stakeholders in the Northeast, managing a high-level portfolio of leadership and principal gift prospects, and leading the advancement teams to foster a culture of philanthropy. The AVP/CAO will also be involved in special initiatives, campaign development, and will be expected to meet annual targets for donor visits, proposals, and gifts. Applicants for the AVP/CAO position at the company should have a proven track record in high-level fundraising, with a focus on major and principal gift levels. The role requires a leader with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, from senior leadership to external constituents. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating and promoting a culture of philanthropy, as well as in managing and developing high-performing teams. A strong understanding of the philanthropic culture in healthcare and a commitment to the mission of the company are essential. The position demands exceptional communication skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a high level of technological and operational fluency. A bachelor's degree with at least 10 years' of experience, or a master's degree with at least 8 years' of experience, is required, along with a history of successful gift solicitation at the $1 million and above level.
