Senior Mortgage Underwriter
Virtual Vocations Inc
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Mortgage Underwriter will review and re-underwrite pre-funded and post-closing files for credit quality, provide management summaries with feedback on loans, and assess risk associated with transactions while ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines. Key responsibilities Reviews and re-underwrites mortgage files for adherence to credit policies and investor guidelines Provides written feedback and recommendations on loans reviewed, identifying training needs and trends Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders to maintain customer service quality and loan integrity Required qualifications 5-8 years of related experience in mortgage underwriting Conventional underwriting experience; FHA/VA designation preferred Thorough knowledge of underwriting policies and agency requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Strong analytical problem-solving and negotiation skills
