Automotive Mechanic- Level A

Position We are hiring a Mechanic for a full‑time opportunity at Global Medical Response. Starting hourly wage: $23.00 based on experience. Job Summary Entry‑level position: Performs light duty repairs on AMR fleet vehicles, assists senior mechanics, and provides logistical support as assigned. Essential Functions / Duties Performs light mechanical and electrical repairs on AMR vehicles. Responds to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested. Provides logistical support for the department and assists Front Line Mechanics as needed. Operates company vehicles in accordance with company policy and safe practices. Completes all required paperwork and documentation neatly, correctly, and on time using AMR repair orders. Uses maintenance database to document all completed tasks and job assignments. Attends all mandatory fleet‑related training. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Adheres to and complies with information systems security policies and procedures. Ensures vehicles are repaired correctly and in a timely fashion. Responds to changing departmental priorities. Quickly diagnoses and repairs vehicles during road‑call situations. Maintains a safe and clean work area. Documents work completely and neatly. Accurately accounts for all parts and materials. Maintains good working relationships with all personnel and professional conduct with external contacts. Exhibits excellent customer‑service skills. Qualifications Valid driver’s license. High school diploma or equivalent education. One year of verifiable line mechanic or mechanic helper/associate experience. Two ASE certifications (truck or automotive series), preferably brake and steering/suspension. MACS AC certification or equivalent ASE certification. Basic set of personal tools. Experience Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to employ discretion and maintain confidentiality in sensitive areas. Ability to read, interpret, and follow instructions on memos, letters, documents, and repair manuals. Ability to perform the essential job functions. Regular and predictable attendance. Basic automotive knowledge and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on company vehicles. Full set of personal tools.
