Title: CVOR Surgical Tech
Location: Charlotte North Carolina 28203
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12hr Day Shift - 36

Shift Information: 0700-1900

Clinical Interviewing- No

On Call, Call Back Requirements: 1 night per week and 2 weekends in a 6-week scheduling period

Weekend Rotation: May have to cover nights or weekends if in house person calls out and you are on call

Holiday Requirements: Might be required if they fall within contract period

Floating Requirements: Possibly to Pineville CVOR but unlikely

About Facility:

900+ licensed beds
Level 1 Trauma Designation
Level 1 Pediatric Trauma – Levine Children s Hospital
Teaching Hospital
Chest Pain Center
Stroke Center
Magnet Designation

Unit Information:

7 ORs dedicated to Adult and Peds Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular
Department will support Cath Lab and EP Lab

Minimum Experience Required:

Surg Tech: at least 2 years of Adult CVOR experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

Cardiac/Vascular/Thoracic Surgery

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

Surg Tech: BLS and Certification preferred but not required

Skills required:

Surg Tech: experience with adult CVOR case types

Support within the Department:

Clinical Supervisor
Charge RN
OR Assistants
Anesthesia/CRNA team
Experienced peer support

Technology/Equipment:

EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Unit specific equipment: not specified

Floating:

Possibly to Pineville CVOR but unlikely

Orientation (facility and unit):

Depends on experience level

Scheduling:

Weekend rotation:
- Surg Tech: May have to cover nights or weekends if in house person calls out and you are on call
Call required:
- Surg Tech: 1 night per week and 2 weekends in a 6-week scheduling period

Holiday Expectations: might be required if they fall within contract period
RTO: Manager approval
