Email Developer

Junior Email Developer - Contract

An established retail organization is seeking a Junior Email Developer to support its digital marketing and eCommerce team. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone with early-career experience in email development or digital marketing who is looking to continue building their technical skills within a high-volume consumer environment.

The Email Developer will assist with the building, testing, and deployment of promotional, targeted, and automated email campaigns , working closely with marketing, creative, and digital teams to ensure campaigns are accurate, responsive, and delivered on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Build, code, test, and deploy email marketing campaigns using HTML and CSS .
• Create and update responsive email layouts for desktop and mobile devices.
• Assist with personalized and dynamic email content using AMPscript and related tools.
• Build and execute campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or a similar email marketing platform.
• Support dynamic content and personalization through tools such as Movable Ink .
• Conduct email QA, including checking links, images, content, formatting, and rendering across devices and email clients.
• Assist with A/B testing and other campaign optimization initiatives.
• Add and validate campaign tracking parameters for reporting and analytics.
• Troubleshoot basic email coding and formatting issues.
• Make updates and revisions based on feedback from marketing and creative partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure campaigns are completed accurately and meet launch deadlines.
• Support additional promotional, lifecycle, and automated email projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 1-3 years of experience in email development, email marketing, web development, digital marketing, or a related area.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS .
• Some experience building or editing responsive HTML emails.
• Exposure to an email service provider such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a similar platform.
• Familiarity with AMPscript, Movable Ink, or dynamic email content is a plus but not required.
• Basic understanding of email QA, testing, and responsive design.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to catch small formatting or content errors.
• Comfortable working on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Retail, eCommerce, or consumer marketing experience is a plus.
