Internship Description: Preparing tax returns from start to finish, such as Individual, Corporate, Partnership, Estate, Gift, Trust, Payroll, Forms W-2 and 1099, Texas Franchise, and various other state returns. Collaborating with associates, partners, and clients gaining exposure to a variety of industries. Learning various tax programs and tax software. Reviewing data, identifying and resolving technical tax issues, and assisting in the review of tax preparations. Adjusting client-prepared books to ensure accuracy of related tax returns. Identifying, researching, and reviewing various tax issues and communicating that information to the team. Executing additional assigned projects. Requirements Qualifications: Completion of Intermediates I and II courses prior to the internship. Overall GPA of 3.0 with a minimum of 3.0 in accounting classes. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Strong written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail with the ability to proofread for accuracy. Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
