Kitchen Team Member (Front of House & Back of House) – Murphy's Cafe 126 (Herriman Location)

Starting Pay: $15.00–$18.00 per hour , depending on experience, availability, and position. Opportunities for advancement and performance-based raises are available.

Murphy's Cafe 126 is known for exceptional customer service and serving what many consider the #1 Philly Cheesesteaks in Utah . We're excited to be opening our new Herriman, Utah location in October 2026 , and we're looking for energetic, dependable, and hardworking Kitchen Team Members to join our growing team.

All new team members will begin paid training immediately at our Riverton location before transitioning to our brand-new Herriman restaurant when it opens.

Whether you enjoy interacting with guests or working behind the scenes in the kitchen, we have opportunities available in both our Front of House and Back of House .

As a Front of House Team Member, you'll be the face of Murphy's Cafe by creating an exceptional experience for every guest.

At Murphy's Cafe 126, every employee is cross-trained. Whether you're hired for the kitchen, front counter, drive-thru, or leadership, you'll receive training in multiple positions so you can confidently support the team wherever needed. Cross-training creates more opportunities for advancement, more consistent scheduling, and a stronger, more successful restaurant.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting every guest with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
• Taking customer orders accurately in person, online, and over the phone.
• Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system and handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Preparing fountain drinks and assisting with order packaging.
• Delivering accurate orders while maintaining excellent presentation.
• Keeping the dining room, beverage station, and front counter clean and organized.
• Assisting guests with menu questions and resolving concerns professionally.
• Working efficiently with the kitchen team to ensure fast and accurate service.

As a Back of House Team Member, you'll help prepare the high-quality food Murphy's Cafe is known for.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing ingredients and assembling menu items according to company recipes.
• Operating grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely.
• Maintaining portion control and food quality standards.
• Following all HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Restocking ingredients and maintaining an organized workstation.
• Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean throughout each shift.
• Assisting with food preparation and receiving deliveries.
• Working efficiently during busy meal periods while maintaining quality and consistency.

• A positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but not required—we're happy to train the right people.
