In this role, the Mentor Coach supports individuals in identifying and achieving professional goals by fostering self-awareness, skill development, and effective practice. Through collaborative coaching relationships, the Mentor Coach promotes employees' ability to grow, improve performance, and progress toward established individual and organizational objectives. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. 1-3 years experience as a mentor/coach providing adult education in early childhood education or child development topics. 5-7 years experience as a lead teacher in a licensed child development program with children ages 0-5. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Education and Experience Child Care Director Certification 7 years of working as a lead teacher in a licensed child development program with children birth to 5 3 years of working as mentor/coach providing adult education in early childhood education or child development topics Other Qualifications To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conducting observations and providing constructive, strengths-based coaching and feedback. Facilitating reflective conversations that support continuous improvement and professional growth. Assessing employee development needs and identifying appropriate learning opportunities. Designing, coordinating, and delivering professional learning programs, workshops, and coaching initiatives. Supporting employees in setting, monitoring, and achieving individual and program-specific SMART goals. Maintaining training records, tracking participation, and ensuring compliance with professional development requirements. Evaluating the effectiveness of coaching and training programs through data collection, feedback, and performance measures. Collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to align professional learning initiatives with organizational goals. Promoting a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence across the organization. The successful Mentor Coach demonstrates strong communication, leadership, coaching, and facilitation skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships, inspire growth, and support employees in achieving meaningful and measurable outcomes. Requirements Must have a negative TB test. Must have a cleared Texas Child Care Licensing Background Check. A Provisional Background Check will not be accepted.
