Location Management Manager (Real Estate and Finance)

Summary:The Location Management Manager (Real Estate & Finance) supports the Location Management Senior Manager and Director and collaborates with personnel across all Firm offices and organizational levels. The Manager directly supervises one to two project managers and provides leadership and guidance across the Location Management function. Key areas of responsibility include real estate and construction projects, financial analysis and planning, construction project budgeting, space planning, contract review and management, and other assigned projects.The Manager provides management oversight for assigned real estate and construction projects, supervising and guiding project managers, reviewing project work and deliverables, and working closely with project teams and local office leadership on project, business, and financial matters. The Manager also leads financial analysis, budget development and management, capital planning, contract review, and reporting for assigned projects and initiatives and helps ensure projects are executed effectively and in alignment with departmental objectives.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide management oversight and leadership for assigned real estate and construction projects, including office expansions, renovations, and relocations, by supervising and guiding project managers, reviewing project work and deliverables, participating in key project meetings, assisting with the resolution of significant issues, and providing business and financial guidance throughout project planning and execution.Lead financial analysis related to Firm real estate decisions for assigned projects and develop executive-level summaries, recommendations, and presentation materials to support decision-making.Manage and monitor construction project budgets across the Firm, including tracking project costs, identifying and analyzing budget variances, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.Partner with Directors of Administration and other local office leadership on assigned projects, providing guidance and support on project budgets, financial considerations, operational impacts, and other business matters as needed.Review and analyze vendor contracts and other agreements related to real estate, construction, sustainability, and other Location Management initiatives, and support the negotiation of such agreements. Assist with lease review and related matters, as needed.Communicate significant project decisions, financial considerations, and operational impacts to affected departments and stakeholders.Lead the preparation of real estate and construction-related analyses and supporting documentation for the Firm's annual capital budgeting and forecasting process.Utilize space management software and related tools to support planning, reporting, and analysis activities, and assist with system administration, evaluation, and enhancement initiatives, as needed.Review team deliverables and provide training, coaching, and professional development for project managers.Establish priorities, manage workloads, and coordinate schedules for direct reports.Support sustainability reporting initiatives, as needed, including the collection, validation, and reporting of data used to support the calculation of the Firm’s carbon emissions.Collaborate with Accounting, Procurement, Information Technology, Human Resources, Facilities, Office Administrators, and other departments across the Firm on cross-functional initiatives.Independently analyze complex project, financial, and business issues, identify potential solutions, and make recommendations aligned with business objectives.Travel is expected to be infrequent; however, the ability to travel, including occasional extended stays, is required as business needs dictate.Education and/or Experience:Required:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis, project management, real estate, or related business functions.Minimum of 2 years of experience leading and supervising professional staff, including responsibility for work allocation, performance management, coaching, and employee development.Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to provide oversight for complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.Demonstrated expertise with financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.Strong ability to synthesize complex financial and business information and develop executive-level analyses, recommendations, presentations, and supporting materials for leadership review and decision-making.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Preferred:Degree concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Experience with commercial real estate and/or construction projects.Experience working within a professional services environment.Public accounting, consulting, or related advisory experience.Other Skills and Abilities:The following will also be required of the successful candidate:Strong organizational skillsStrong attention to detailGood judgmentStrong interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to work harmoniously and effectively with othersAble to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretionAble to work under pressureAble to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities#LI-TM1#LI-HybridThe target salary range for this role is:$107,000 - $148,000 if located in Illinois.Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
