The Receiving Clerk leads and organizes the receiving and storage of all food items and non-food items for the Miraval restaurants/kitchens. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Receives and put away all deliveries in coordination with the Purchasing team for the Miraval kitchens. • Primary focus being Harvest Moon restaurant with 1894 restaurant and Sloane's Restaurant also being within their purview/focus. • Check for food safety of food items being delivered and confer with the Chef on duty on a daily basis. • Maintain organization and ensure cleanliness of the walk-in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage for the restaurants at the Miraval. • Receive and maintain organization of all restaurant china/smallware's and maintain an inventory china/smallware's on hand. • Receive and maintain proper storage and organization of all kitchen banquet equipment. • Ensure loading dock area and garbage receptables of the kitchens are always clean, rinsed off, and safe from slip hazards. • Ensure all cardboard and boxed items received in is neatly recycled. • Review departmental requisitions on a daily basis and organize for expedient fulfillment and delivery. • Ensure all food storage areas including refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage are prepared for a health inspection at all times. • Ensure temperature logs for all refrigerators and freezers is completed daily. • Assist culinary team with event set ups.
