Job Details Specialty: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract Setting: High-risk Labor & Delivery unit with Level III NICU support Location: Abington, Pennsylvania 19001 - a welcoming community with convenient access to the greater Philadelphia area Start Date: September 14, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070 - $2,180 Schedule Notes: No block scheduling; every 3rd weekend required; at least one holiday commitment during the contract Charting System: Epic Patient Ratio: 1-2 Unit Highlights: Approximately 5,000 deliveries per year with 21 Labor & Delivery beds, an 8-bed triage area, 3 ORs, and a 3-bay PACU Job Requirements At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS, ACLS, and NRP required AWHONN Intermediate or Beginner certification required BSN required Travel nursing experience required Experience with Epic preferred Strong experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients Ability to meet compliance requirements, including background screening, fingerprints, labs, and references Responsibilities Provide skilled bedside care to laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, triage, and recovery care Support procedures such as cerclages, postpartum tubals, and D&E cases as needed Monitor fetal status and respond to changes in maternal or fetal condition Administer medications and therapies including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, IV fluids, and blood products when indicated Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, patient-centered care Educate patients and families throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum experience Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic Contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment focused on quality outcomes Apply now for this Labor & Delivery RN travel nursing opportunity in Abington, Pennsylvania, and join a healthcare team committed to exceptional maternal and newborn care.
