About the Position

Job Title: Endoscopy Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience required License: Active state RN license or compact license required Certifications: AHA BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Charting System Experience: Epic required - Patient Ratio Experience: 3 patients Description: Endoscopy RN with 2 years of experience is required. The position involves working 4 days per week from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Every third weekend and call will depend on skill level. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units based on their skill sets and census. Floating may occur within the hospital or to another facility nearby. Candidates must be capable of recovering patients under conscious sedation. Knowledge of performing procedures such as bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP is necessary. Skills in administering conscious sedation and interpreting/managing dysrhythmias are required. Experience with monitoring conscious sedation and handling specimens is essential. The unit typically sees adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The daily census is approximately 15 patients with 15 visits per day. There are 4 rooms and 12 beds in the unit. Microbiological unique equipment and support from various interdisciplinary teams are utilized.
