School Social Worker

Vassalboro Community School is searching for a dedicated, team oriented School Social Worker. The Successful Candidate Will Assist in fostering a safe, welcoming and inclusive school environment through proactive, preventative practices in our Behavioral and Life Skills programs. Maintain accurate documentation and meet district, state and federal requirements. Support initiatives that promote positive student behavior. Assist in the development and implementation of student support plans and IEP goals. Provide crisis intervention and support when called upon. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, staff, families and community providers. Required Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Previous school based experience preferred Strong communication, collaboration and organizational skills Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and school personnel Experience providing evidence-based social emotional and behavioral interventions Knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed practices and positive behavioral interventions Understand/be willing to learn Maine Care billing and provide Ed-Tech supervision (coaching) as required by Maine Care.
