Make an impact supporting students in a self-contained classroom serving those with mild disabilities in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, onsite position (35 hours per week) is available immediately and runs through December 18, 2026. As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll foster growth, provide individualized instruction, and build meaningful relationships that inspire confidence and independence in your students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field required
• Active and valid Indiana special education teaching license (must provide screenshot as proof)
• Experience working with students with mild disabilities preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to professional and ethical standards

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with mild disabilities in a self-contained classroom
• Implement and update IEPs, monitor progress, and maintain thorough records
• Collaborate with general education staff, families, and support personnel to promote student success
• Use evidence-based strategies and accommodations to address academic and behavioral needs
• Encourage a classroom atmosphere that supports all students socially and emotionally
• Participate in professional development opportunities and required meetings
