We are now accepting resume/applications for EXPERIENCED Yard Hands for the Houma, LA and surrounding area.  Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

• Scope of Work:
  • Responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site. Their  duties include loading and unloading tools or raw materials, assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment and digging or filling in pits throughout the construction process.
• Position Requirements :

• Duties/Responsibilities :
  • Cleaning and preparing a job site
  • Using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
  • Receive shipments and assist in unloading them from delivery trucks, ensuring that goods and items remain safe.
    • Load, unload, and move materials and items by hand or by using material handling equipment.
    • Operate forklifts or order selection machines to transport parts in and about warehouses and/or yard.
    • Ensure that the receiving department double checks the shipment for accuracy and completeness of orders.
    • Transport merchandise between receiving stations, warehouse and production areas.
    • Handle counting, sorting, packing, and unpacking activities as part of the material sorting work.
    • Record the material amount or count received and circulated.
  • Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely.
  • Assist in the loading of delivery trucks, ensuring that each item is properly placed and secured within the truck.
  • Maintain industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition.
  • Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
    • Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
    • Mange house keeping activities when requested.
  • Lift and carry merchandises/material as needed.
  • Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages.
  • Load and unload merchandise to and from trailers.
  • Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
  • Must have good endurance
  • Will be required to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, and crawl to perform task
  • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions (heat, cold, dusty, dirty and/or wet conditions)
  Documents Required:
  • Driver's License/Identification Card
  • Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
• Must be able to provide own PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves)
• Must have reliable transportation
• Pay:
  • $15.00/HR
  • Weekly Pay
  • Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
• Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed)
    • 8AM - 5PM
• Duration of Job: Temp to Hire
