Asset Protection Associate - All DC/FC Location: Tampa, FL – 5135 S Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33611-3505. Position Summary: Asset Protection Associate supporting facility security and environmental health and safety functions across distribution centers and fulfillment centers. Responsibilities Asset Protection Security: Apply knowledge of Asset Protection policies, practices, and environmental health and safety laws. Support security staff, monitor and maintain access control equipment. Employee Health & Safety: Apply OSHA guidelines and safety auditing processes. Conduct compliance audits, manage emergency response personnel, summon emergency services, maintain audit reports. Partnership Collaboration: Identify stakeholders, manage engagement tools, deliver assigned project activities, support process updates. Data & Digital Literacy: Gather, interpret, and analyze data. Create reports using existing models, ensure data quality, recommend automation. EHS Training Delivery: Support instructors in training programs, manage feedback, maintain training repositories, explain procedures to contractors. Influential Communication: Communicate insights and recommendations concisely, present to partners, build professional network. Process Improvement: Implement process improvement strategies, conduct root cause analysis, lead incident investigations. Environmental Protection: Interpret environmental regulations, handle inquiries from regulatory bodies, implement Walmart policies, promote environmental issues. Operational Excellence: Explain operational functions, clarify department roles, interpret SOPs/OBW, describe interdependence of support and line functions. General Responsibilities: Comply with company policies and ethics, prioritize work, collaborate with teams, communicate progress, adapt to change. Qualifications Minimum: 6 months experience as a Walmart associate or 1 year of experience/work‑coursework in criminal justice, loss prevention/asset protection, safety, compliance, or security‑related field (e.g., Military, Public Safety, Compliance, Criminal Justice). Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, OneDrive; experience or coursework in criminal justice, loss prevention/asset protection, safety, compliance, or security‑related field.
