Staffing Type: Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 3/4 RNs, 1 PCT. Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 3/4 RNs, 1 PCT. Patient Ratios (Estimated): 1:3/4 flex to 5. Type of Equipment: Baxter pumps, EMR - Meditech. Typical Hiring Profile: Most recruited for: Oncology. Preferred: Hematology/Oncology background, Chemotherapy certification. Typical Procedures Performed: Replacing blood and electrolytes. Best Personality Fit: Compassionate. Required Certifications: RN, BLS. Floating Area(s): Hematology/Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant. Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - Royal Blue. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Neutropenic precautions. Strict I and O. CHG Bath and linen change every 24 hours. Dressing change every 7 days. Lines and caps every 96 hours. No children under 16 allowed. Weekends and On Call: Rotating weekends, no on call.
