Commercial and industrial facilities depend on reliable climate and process systems. As our HVAC/R Systems Mechanic, you will protect uptime, comfort, and safety by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diverse equipment across multiple sites. You’ll travel between locations with a company vehicle, armed with tools, schematics, and the know-how to keep systems running at peak performance.

Core Duties

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Use schematics, design drawings, and diagnostic tools (ohmmeters, refrigeration testing gear) to find root causes fast.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls and mechanical components; implement durable fixes.
• Document work thoroughly and ensure adherence to safety protocols and building codes.
• Assist with HVAC/R-related property maintenance tasks when required.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized diagnostic instruments safely and effectively.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces.

Ideal Background

• Experience as an HVAC/R service technician or in related trades (construction, property maintenance, appliance repair).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on repair of heating and cooling systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics and apply HVAC design fundamentals in the field.
• Exposure to plumbing and electrical work; ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus.
• Welding or boiler maintenance experience is a plus.
• Skilled with HVAC diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for inter-site travel.
