Laundry Aide

Supervision and Direction: The Laundry Aide receives general supervision and control from the Maintenance Director or designee. The Laundry Aide will comply with established policies and operational procedures. In the absence of the Maintenance Director , the Laundry Aide will accept advice and instruction from the Executive Director. Key Responsibilities Laundry Aide receives general supervision and control from the Administrator or designee. The Laundry Aide will comply with established policies and operational procedures. In the absence of the Administrator, the Laundry Aide will accept advice and instruction from the Regional Director. Duties and Responsibilities: The Laundry Aide is responsible for performing the duties necessary to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all resident and facility laundry. Specifically, the Laundry Aide:

1. Is responsible for keeping the laundry room and laundry storage areas clean and orderly.
2. Keeps laundry equipment clean and in working order. Reports all equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
3. Maintains adequate inventory of laundry supplies. Informs supervisor of needed supplies.
4. Delivers clean properly folded laundry to residents within 24 – 48 hours of receipt.
5. Picks up dirty laundry from housekeeping carts as needed.
6. Performs janitorial duties as assigned.
7. Reports to work in uniform assigned.
8. Participates in in-service training.
9. Observes and protects residents’ rights including rights to confidentiality, privacy and dignity.
10. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and to bend, crawl, stoop, push, and lift in order to deliver care and services as needed.
11. Practices safety procedures and complies with established reporting of accidents and injuries.
12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Pay Range (Based on Experience) $15.00- $ 18.00 Qualifications Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and to bend, crawl, stoop , push and lift in order to deliver care and services needed..
